A day without laughter is a day wasted – Dolphy
Philippines’ King of Comedy
25 July 1928 – 10 July 2012
That one moment with Dolphy (based on my tweets last night):
I vividly remember how his presence brought joy to me when I saw in person. He was dressed in a white suit, standing outside a store in Glorietta. I smiled at him and he smiled back then waved at me. He was outside the store because he was waiting for Zsa Zsa to finish shopping. His face would always lit up when people recognize him. It was then I realized that all he wanted was to make people happy, to be bring joy.
Sa mga pagkakataon na kami ay iyong pinatawa, maraming salamat, Dolphy!

I agree. I’ve seen him last year at the Makati Med Center as he posed with staff and patients alike for photos and autograph signing. I’d say he’s approachable and has no star mentality despite his status. His mere presence delights everyone with a smile.
