A love-filled afternoon spent with Tweethearts Pen, Jo and Lena. Two hours of solid girl talk about life, love, milestones and the things that make us happy.

My China Sencha Tea and my glass of De Perriere Sparkling Rosé NV
It was a get-together that took more than a year to plan but it was worth the wait.
Doing high tea is one of the best ways to spend time with girlfriends as it is made up of stuff that girls love: delicious tea or coffee, decadent sweets, filling savoury sandwiches and an optional bubbly. Dainty little things that make the heart warm and tummy satisfied.

Poached Chicken Sandwich, Mini Cappuccino Chocolate, Walnut Cupcake & a Macaron. Partnered with one of my favourite teas, Sencha, which had a sweet and grassy flavour and delicate aroma.

My favourite from the dessert plates was the Strawberry Mousse Waffle Cone. The mousse was light and smooth while the little chocolate toppings provided texture and sweetness. This was a fun dessert to eat as it gave the illusion of an ice cream on a cone–I thought it was ice cream but realised it wasn’t when after several minutes it hasn’t melted. Haha!

The scones were small but delicious and filling. It came in two different flavours: buttermilk and date.

The cutest and sweetest Cappuccino Cup.

This high tea was more than just a get-together. Our high tea was also a celebration of our friendship. As we sat down and caught up with stories of our lives, we realised how grateful we are for finding each other. In this time and age, it’s not easy to find friends who have similar values in life and who will stay with you thru the years.

We hope that this is a start of regular all-girls dates in future–high tea or not.
