For the past two weeks, my cooking has been hectic and erratic due to the consecutive two weeks that I had Saturday parties eating out after work on some days due to Christmas/Home Shopping. Of course, there were leftovers to finish off too.

For this week, these are the only ones I remember cooking:

Tuesday (2/12/08): Baked Fish

Saturday (6/12/08): Egg, Spam and Fried Rice for breakfast and Menudo as ulam for the day.

This is my entry to Litratong Pinoy’s Theme Excited!

Maligayang Huwebes!

English Translation:

A lot of us are looking forward to Christmas, but me, I’m more excited to celebrate the New Year.

And because I’m so excited for 2009 to come, I already bought a planner in October. Because I’m wishing for a lot of things to happen in 2009 like:

(1) Welcoming 2009 with my Husband and showing him how Australia celebrates the New Year.

(2) Celebration of our 2nd Wedding Anniversary TOGETHER (because he was in Dubai when we had our 1st Wedding Anniversary).

(3) Celebration of my birthday with my husband (again!)

(4) Realization of more dreams of our little family.

(5) Spend time with my parents, hoping they will come here for a vacation (this one I’m really praying so fervently).

Happy Thursday!

Christmas Floor Mat

We don’t have much Christmas decors in the home and we don’t have plans of putting up so much Christmas decors due to the fact that we only moved in and still getting settled in our home. But as early as November, I put out our Christmas Floor Mat so we can have a feel of Christmas inside the home.

Christmas Floor Mats are available in department stores here in Australia, prices range from AUD$10.00-20.00 (today’s exchange rate is AUD$1.00 = Php31.95).

America has declared recession.

“WASHINGTON – The United States is in a recession and it’s getting worse. Wall Street convulsed at the news — and a fresh batch of bad economic reports — tanking nearly 680 points.”

If you have received your Christmas bonuses already, be sure to save a substantial amount from what you have received. The world will survive this financial crisis but there will be a tough road ahead for us all next year. It won’t hurt if we all practice the value of Prudence nowadays. Let’s all spend wisely.

And for those who received or will be receiving bonuses this Christmas, be grateful (because here in Australia, there are no such things).

That’s it for now!

…literally and figuratively speaking.

We had a sunny weather today, as if to make the first day of Summer here in Australia. And everytime the sun shines brightly throughout the day, we will surely be watching a beautiful show of colors during sunset, just like today. Husband and I were in awe of the spectacle infront of us after dinner.

This was the view from our balcony a few minutes before 8 o’clock tonight.

The sunset in focus…

Almost twilight…

To the one above who makes all things possible and spectacular, thank you for a beautiful day…and thank you for the wonderful surprise you blessed us with today.
