We had the funnest time last Saturday as our barkada, The Kolokoys, celebrated Gary and Yyoni’s little princess Jiona’s 1st birthday at Little Dynamo’s Indoor Play Centre.

Isn’t she the cutest??? She’s so adorable!!!!

And of course, the Titas of Jiona—Me, Hilda and Ara had a great time catching up and pigging out (We missed you Rache!!!!) There was a lot of food from potato wedges, chicken nuggets, ice cream cake and our faves: chicken wings and mini-burgers.

As planned, my parents went back to Manila last Saturday. To everyone who wished them a safe trip, thank you. Their flight got delayed by 30 minutes but other than that, they arrived home safe and sound. Thank God. 🙂

As much are there were tears when they departed and we were sad to arrive at a silent home on Saturday afternoon, the Husband and I just focused on the joy that we were able to bring my parents here and that we were able to share our home with them for the past two and a half months. For us, it was a big achievement because other than giving my parents beautiful memories while they were here, we also learned a lot from this experience. We have felt very “grown-up” from the time we prepared for their visit til the time that they had to leave. The experience was such a great gift to all of us.

In behalf of my parents, they would like to say “thank you” to everyone who made their stay in Australia happy and memorable.

And to Mom and Dad, we love you and we miss you always. Thank you for visiting us. Let us just look forward to the day we’ll be together again–we hope that won’t be too far away.

I’m grateful to everyone who messaged, emailed, texted and called me. I really appreciate all the positive thoughts you have sent me. Maraming maraming salamat! I’m truly touched.

Our last trip to the city before my parents leave for the Phils on Saturday.

This time, I took them to the Sydney Fish Market for lunch. Seafood galore!!!! We had Fish ‘n Chips, Lobster and Scallop Mornay and Salt ‘n Pepper Calamari. Yummy!!!! It was our first time to come here so we were all in awe of how many the choices of seafood here (syempre nga kasi Fish Market hehe) and how fresh the produce are.

After lunch, we took my mom to Star City, the casino place in Sydney.

While my mom had her fun in Star City, I took my dad to the Sydney Aquarium. My mom had already been to the place so she’d rather play in Star City than hung out with us hehe.

In the afternoon, we all met up again and had coffee and hot chocolate at Lindt Cafe in Darling Harbour.

We ended the great day by having dinner at Pepper Lunch. My parents loved it! They haven’t been to any Pepper Lunch in Manila and we wanted them to experience it before they left.

As of today, we’re all done with the packing of their luggages. Just a few more stuff Chris and I are working on that needs to be sent to the Phils and we’re good to go.

I’m also busy preparing for their despedida dinner tomorrow and our trip to the airport on Saturday. Hope everything turns out well.
